Paul Farrelly began working in the wine industry in1980, predominantly in the Sunraysia Region of Northern Victoria, Australia. At that time storage tanks were being insulated by spraying the tanks with polyurethane. In 1980 the Polyurethane foam system was then adapted into fully produced separate panels. This led to the early stages of polystyrene panels. The late Jack Donaldson was paramount in this system. In 1989 Paul and his wife Jo purchased a small home in Williamstown South Australia to raise their 2 children, Shane and Jenna. In 1991 Paul and Jo took this polystyrene panel system to the next level and so their 3rd child, Polarclad was born and later became known as POLARCLAD GLOBAL COOLING. This Polarclad Panel system has become accepted world wide as the wine industry standard. Our 75mm panel system is requested by engineering companies developing enormous sites, right down to one off boutique tanks. We now specialize very much on the boutique wineries and can assist in tank design and insulation requirements
